Sound Studio is an app that gets the job done. Easy enough to use for beginners, yet with plenty of useful features for those who want more power than a simple recorder. It should be noted that this is no high end multitrack application…. even though it can do some rudimentary multitracking.

I use it all the time for podcast production and such.
